Vegan Chai Latte

Vegan Chai Latte

Some rainy day, I was wandering around Tel Aviv and I needed something hot to drink. Yes, even here in Tel Aviv it can get pretty chilly in wintertime! I saw this cozy café in a beautiful neighborhood and it was there where I got addicted to chai latte. The first time I was there I didn’t see how they were preparing it but because it was so delicious I had to go back and try it again. The next time I watched carefully and decided I would try it out myself at home. It tasted delicious and especially in this cold season, there is nothing better than a hot, spicy, and creamy chai latte. The ginger is warming you from the inside and the cinnamon note is just perfect for a wintry feeling.

It’s never too late for chai latte!

Take a warm blanket, turn on the stove and some fairy lights, listen to relaxing music, and try out this recipe. It’s extremely delicious and on top very easy too. You only need 4 ingredients and your hot chai latte is ready to enjoy.

Ingredients for 2 cups:

Ginger one small piece
Cashews a handful
1/2 tsp cinnamon or chai latte spice
2 dates
400 ml boiling water

First, pit the dates. Cut a small piece of ginger from the root and peel it. Now combine the dates, cashews, cinnamon and ginger in a blender. Pour in the hot water and blend on high speed for 2-3 minutes until there are no more pieces left and it‘ s nice and creamy.

Enjoy your chai latte and if you liked it, tag me in your Instagram story.
